Common questions

When can college coaches start contacting my son?

D1 coaches cannot contact players until August 1 before their junior year. D2 coaches can contact players starting June 15 after sophomore year. D3, NAIA, and JUCO coaches have no restrictions.

Can my son email coaches before August 1?

Yes. Players can email coaches at any time. D1 coaches just cannot respond until August 1 of junior year. CommitU shows you when coaches open your emails and view your Resume.

What is a Resume page?

A public recruiting profile page for your son that you can share with coaches. Every recruiting email sent through CommitU includes a link to his Resume page, and you can see when coaches view it.

Can I have more than one player on my account?

Yes. Add additional player profiles under the same account. Each player has their own profile, emails, and Resume page. A 50% family discount applies to each additional player.

What happens when my son commits?

Update his status to Committed in the app. His Resume page will reflect his commitment and outreach will pause automatically.
